Welcome to My Time Farm. Home of quality LaManchas and Purebred Nubians. The Nubian's, under La-di-da Nubians, are owned by my wife Caprice. My small ranch is located in beautiful Western Washington outside of the state capital of Olympia.
I (Justin) started raising goats in 1994 when I brought home, to my parents ranch in Montana, a grade Alpine for a 4H project. From that point the herd expanded rapidly to consist mostly of registered LaManchas. Boers where added once they made it that far north. In 2002 the herd was sold when I joined the Army. I stayed involved in the industry while serving. In 2007 I purchased 5 acres of land in Yelm, WA and started building a herd again.
My management: I feed either an orchard/alfalfa mix or straight orchard grass hay. They have free choice pasture at all times. I grain during show season and only the show string. Free choice loose mineral. And the occasional raw whole peanuts. They are vaccinated with CD&T and pasteurella. Worming is done as needed by using fecal tests. The goats are encouraged to move and have plenty of space to do that. The bucks are run together by age group.
Every goat on the property is tested annually for CAE and CL. Any animal testing positive will be culled and removed from the property immediately. This is a personal choice and may not work for everyone.
